SCHOOL BREAK CYBER SERIES

School Break Cyber Series

Building the future tech workforce during school breaks

Serving thousands of students, this initiative invests in the future of the technology workforce by beginning to build diversity and inclusion in the early educational years. Children enjoy school breaks, but many lack the resources to enrich their time off with quality learning experiences that are both fun and educational. These out-of-school times can be critical for learning, especially for the children who have little to no access to cyber-related learning during the school year.

OIT addresses these needs and opportunities in several ways. These initial School Break Cyber Series resources and activities are designed for engaging and connecting students to out-of-school time learning opportunities:

REMAKE LEARNING DAYS
EVENT MAY 15

Remake Learning Days originated in response to the emerging reality that youth in the digital age are pursuing knowledge, developing their identities, and seeking support differently. One In Tech and our partners are all committed to providing activities, resources, and opportunities for students to learn and grow, including OIT’s May 15th online event “CyberSleuths for the Future.”

CYBERSLEUTHS AND
CYBER PATHWAYS

Through direct programming, One In Tech provides out-of-school time activities that, while open to all, are specifically designed resource those students without access, due to cost or other systemic barriers, to tech-related learning opportunities. All One In Tech programming is FREE, including online courses, videos, quizzes and activities designed to promote cyber safety, skills, and career exploration.

YOUTH CAMP
RESOURCES

In other ways to support out-of-school time learning, One In Tech provides resources about programs from external organizations. To ensure all students can learn about opportunities that may apply to them, OIT provides resources for families, students, and educators to explore programs that may be applicable to them.
