SCHOOL BREAK FUN

Maximize School Breaks

Building the future tech workforce

Serving thousands of students, this initiative invests in the future of the technology workforce by beginning to build diversity and inclusion in the early educational years. Children enjoy school breaks, but many lack the resources to enrich their time off with quality learning experiences that are both fun and educational. These out-of-school times can be critical for learning, especially for the children who have little to no access to cyber-related learning during the school year.

OIT addresses these needs and opportunities in several ways. These initial School Break Fun resources and activities are designed for engaging and connecting students to out-of-school time learning opportunities:

SCHOOL BREAK CYBER SERIES

Join kids (and educators, parents and ISACA members) for this free series of interactive cybersecurity lessons and games, held online once a week from 20 July-30 August. Out-of-school times can be critical catch-up opportunities to continue developing skills, especially for children who have little access to cyber-related learning during the school year.

YOUTH CAMP RESOURCES

In other ways to support out-of-school time learning, One In Tech provides resources about programs from external organizations. To ensure all students can learn about opportunities that may apply to them, OIT provides resources for families, students, and educators to explore programs that may be applicable to them.
