Ages: 13-18 (cis and trans girls, non-binary)
Participants must be able to virtually attend the full two week commitment, Monday-Friday, 9am – 3pm.
Kode with Klossy’s flagship program provides the opportunity for young women and non-binary individuals across the country, ages 13-18, to attend free two week bootcamps that introduce them to key computer science concepts and skills. Scholars collaborate with each other and with inspiring instructors to explore the limitless potential of code and computer science. Access to equipment is not required for participation. Scholars will be placed in one of three curricular offerings, based on availability and prior experience in Kode With Klossy camps. No previous computer science experience is necessary to participate in any curricular offering. Camps include activities outside of just direct learning, including hosting inspirational women in technology as part of a speaker series. All camps conclude with “demo days” where scholars are able to showcase their final projects. All camps are co-taught by 2 instructors with the support of at least 3 instructor assistants.
